Campaign update, week 14
Today I officially nominated for Perth Lord Mayor
I want to be your Lord Mayor full time, full term. Our City deserves a Lord Mayor 100% committed to Local Government and Perth’s community.
I love our City. Every day I'm focused on delivering for Perth: as a City Councillor, Perth Design Week Co-Creator, Institute of Architects WA President and more.
At 49, I've spent more than half my life working in the City, first as a lawyer, now as an architect. With business acumen and skills across law, commerce, design and governance, I'm the right person for the job of Perth Lord Mayor.
I have a record of delivering improvements for our community. Since being elected in 2020, I have successfully put forward 16 policies to the Council via Notices of Motion. These policies centered on making sure our City is safe, vibrant and inclusive, and have now been implemented or are in progress.
And I will continue to deliver.
Standing up for all City neighbourhoods; genuinely address their priorities; refresh key streets and laneways; keep rates low.
Future proof our City; building our CBD population; Youth Action Plan; embracing the education, tech and creative sectors; driving sustainability and urban greening.
Work collaboratively with the State Government; to tackle safety; homelessness; Perth Parking Levy; a Plan for Perth; major projects like ECU City, the East Perth School and more.
Improving transparency and accountability; it’s what voters expect, and with me – it’s what they will get.
I will continue working with residents, businesses and community groups to foster inclusive communities, empower City neighbourhoods, and make Perth one of the most liveable cities in the world. Because the best cities in the world are always striving to be better. And the best way forward for Perth is together.
A vote for Sandy Anghie as Lord Mayor is a vote for a modern, progressive city, that truly grabs the opportunities in front of it.
